Thanks for your purchase indiehouse! As of right now we only have (3) CA-70S left at $1399 (we put 25 on sale thinking no one would care- we were wrong) If anyone here on the RGO is interested in this deal - shipping is free in the US and just for fun- any RGO member that purchases one- we’ll give them an additional $100 off our fancy CP-248 2-ch phantom power supply- good for now or the future. This goes for you too indie- anytime you want it. ...and we’ll throw in a free t-shirt.! Shoot us an email at *info@coilaudio.com* to order. mrCoil - I had a pair in my FrontEndAudio cart - with the 15% off $1399 @ $1189.15 shipped. Couldn't turn that down.... Then I went away to do something, came back and FEA's cart bumped me out - saying the 15% discount was no longer valid. Sad for me, but I guess it was not meant to be. These have been on my "list" for a couple of years, and I've been waiting till I had the $$$$$. 15 off 1399 MADE me pull the trigger and exploded my budget.....but..... Not sure why FEA took away the 15%, as it's still available on their other products. Just a FYI - thought you should know. Dr Bill - sent you a DM

What will be next.. jsteiger can i order ML2s somehow??? I need to update the ML2 PCB layout and reorder boards. I've been meaning to do that for many months now but something is always getting in the way. The past few days its been a layout for a headphone amp module. Really good sounding one that'll make your ears bleed if you want them to. HPA500...coming soon. Nice! JLM is doing a new one too. Cool. Anyways, I was the guy that asked you for the pads to pins 7 & 9 to be added to the PCB for use of Insert send and return with Cemal. I still very much want to do that and would order 4 modules right now with the 10% off if I can? Look forward to the headphone amp!

Hi Coil, Is there any audible difference in using your phantom box vs. a cheaper box? I have a CA-70s on the way as well, and will consider buying your phantom in the near future if it is worth it. Excuse my ignorance, but I have never used external phantom before. Thanks, Warren Sorry we missed this Warren - to answer your question - Yes. When we ear tested it against a sub-$100 Rolls from Guitar Center it was painfully obvious - against an Audio Technica cp8506 (now discontinued) it was less so but under heavy compression you could hear the transient response of the mic (as the capsule took on high level signal) choke and leave little sonic holes in the audio. We totally overbuilt the CP-248 but it shows - its got 45mA of current in the reserves so every mic stays nice and stiff. Some mics are really demanding - the Earthworks mics for example need 10-11mA to perform at spec.

Man I do not understand the Waves Update Plan. I thought that if anything was expired and you renewed it and had a bunch of stuff it was 225 flat.
If I unselect all the stuff that doesn't need renewed...its till 340 bucks..wtf?

I'm liking this TG Mastering console, I use it on everything in the past 3 days or so.
Yeah, one thing that bugged me was I paid $49 for Abbey Road chambers and a few days later it's down to $29
but on the plus side, I bought F6 EQ for $29 I think, and then it went up so you win and lose some.
I'm not looking forward to WUP right now I'm just enjoying the inexpensive plugin set! Really filled in a lot of gaps in my collection.
the free Sibilance plugin I do not like. I don't find it to be nearly as good or transparent as FabFilter Pro-DS which is my reference De-esser.

That seems to be their new business model. I was going to buy the H-Reverb the other day, but it was $49. I figured it would drop to $29 either today or around Christmas, and sure enough it's dropped. At this point though, the full H-series bundle is $59 and I just picked up the free H-Comp. I just submitted a bundle upgrade price request through AudioDeluxe. I expect to be able to get the whole bundle now for under $40.

WAVES is having 80% discount on Bundles! Not even worth getting individual ones (of course unless you've the bundles up to date). Just got the Horizon Bundle for $224. for V10 but I can also access back to V6!

Was curious about that one as I think I saw an ad for it. Good to hear though, I also am a FabFilter DS guy. The update plan is odd I don't get it. I have stuff from 2012 but don't want to update it haha Oh well.

Just got the Horizon Bundle for $224. for V10 but I can also access back to V6! Most those bundles have things Id never use. The one bundle I bought that I find annoying is the Abby Road one but it isn't really a "bundle" and I can't upgrade it as new ones are released. Shows up as individual plugins. I think the SSL, the VOX, and CLA bundles are the only ones REALLY worth it anyways. ANd i guess the API. Basically the Studio Bundle.

Bundles = Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Horizon, etc. For the price of 7 (@ $29.) you get 100+
If you're registered with Waves, Gold = $38, Platinum =$120. ... Horizon = $224., etc

Dude... this API 2500 (Waves) on drum bus is so excellent. Big tight drum sound with super punchy low end. Arousor is a little too soft on the songs I was working on this week, at least how I had it configured. I tried the API years ago but it finally "clicked" with me this time. $24 at Plugin Discounts.
Abbey Road TG Mastering is impressing me more and more, it's quite versatile and easy to use. It almost always makes my track sound better when dialed in a flattering setting.
If you've got a Focusrite interface registered you're going to want to grab that Positive Grid Bias LE too... I'm getting some very realistic guitar tones, and I'm picky about this. In some ways it's fun not to use a real amp once in a while.
Just the things that stand out in my recent plugin binge so far.

Man, I just bought that H-Series about a month ago. The H-Comp is supposedly inspired by the Neve 33609. I've not used that, so I don't know. But it works well. The whole series works nicely.
I also bought their Signature Series for Vocals. Not too impressed really.
I avoid a lot of the Waves stuff because of WUP and I also have invested in UAD stuff so why not use that? But I will say one of the coolest Waves plugs to me has been Reel ADT. Fun and useful.

Something a little different: I just purchased a pair of custom molded earplugs from ACSCustom. They're offering 35% off (today is the last day). I went with the Pro17 model. Been meaning to get some high quality custom hearing protection for years, figure the sale was a good excuse to protect my assets. acscustomusa.com

I am going to use that for now, but I want to upgrade after paying off the preamp and some other gear I just picked up. Thanks for the info, cant wait to play with the preamp.

They even refunded the legit plugin I had bought (Transient Shaper for $39). I guess I just gotta shrug it off.
