I mean to be fair they are two different styles of pultec Tempted to get some of this just for utlility stuff. I sold my 3 KT eq's and kept the DIRYE eq's. FWIW. I have a KT76 and think the sound is pretty much identical to the Warm units that I own, but the build quality of the KT feels better. What do you usually use the DIYRE eq's on? I've got Lindell PEX-500 and KT EQP-KT pairs here

Tempted to get some of this just for utlility stuff. The "real" Pultec also has way more frequencies. To be honest with you I'm not sure if I'll try the DIYRE since it seems a bit limited to me. Sure, maybe it's great for mix bus or something specific. For utility like you said I like to have frequency options galore. It might seem that way but is very useful actually. You just manipulate it with the boost and cut to give you different responses. I want to make another set with different opamps and tranny's. I really like the eqp5. Plus can get two for under 500 which is crazy.

Probably won't get any. For 1176 I think the hairball stuff is killer anyways. And would rather also get a Splice as I know serpent audios compressors are killer.
Still to have some of these cheaper ones to just run stuff through might be handy at times. But...eh.

I got it a couple of weeks ago and am really liking it so i say yes, if you spend over $50 you get 1 free plug in of a $29 value. Cheers. Yeah, know about the deal, but looked at everything and don't really want any of their other plugs. If I grab it, it will be the first Waves plugin I buy. But I already downloaded the demo and it doesn't work in Audiomulch, so it's probably a no go, at least for now.

Guys, This is an old page from last year. If you note the dates on the page it said "Please note: promotions go live at 12:00 AM PST on 11/24/17. The discounts won't be active on the store until then." I just made that page inactive even though it wasn't even linked to anything on the site. Some of you internet sleuths really go digging... Sorry for the confusion. Brad

Sorry for spreading misinformation!

The Waves BF promotion is pretty sick. I just sold two SM57s to impulse-fund this buy for $123 total:
The deal is you buy a few, you get to pick a few of the $29 for free, and the prices are all pretty low already
I got five
Abbey Road TG Mastering (wow, no longer need to buy UAD Chandler stuff maybe) Abbey Road Chambers (sounds very realistic) F6 EQ (hopefully will be a go-to until I can afford the Fab Filter stuff I want) H Delay (one of my favorites) RVox (recent favorite)

Thank you for alerting me to the fact that an old page was still accessible via Google! I may do some kind of promotion tomorrow or over the weekend. As soon as I can get my act together. I decided to take my girlfriend out for a nice day of hiking in the coastal redwoods and exploring the CA coast. So stay tuned... Brad

You guys see the Softube Grand Channel is $19 and the Trident is $24 at guitar center and musicians friend? Softube tape is $29 at everyplugin. I've been trying out the McDsp NR800 and find it really useful. Moreso than the Sonnox restore. $80 at everyplugin. Their Echo plugin is $66 but I haven't tried it. Transatlantic Plate is back at $99. Punish by Heavyocity $49. Contemporay Color was still $29 if I recall. Shattered Glass Phoenix is $39 I think.

I’m not seeing it.

I grabbed Summit Grand Channel and Transient Shaper. From Musician's Friend. I like transient shaper, and the price is right. Summit channel is very good sounding I'll have to try it more widely. I think I need to try the compressor on vocals, and the EQ also. I skipped the Trident because I already have the Arturia version that I like, and I was never a big fan of the softube one in my testing. These prices were sort of like, "Don't think about it, just buy it now."

Summit is very good. Great at a natural kinda leveling and making stuff smooth. Haven't tried it since I started using Bx_Control V2 all over and changed some other things, should be interesting. The Tube Tech MKII was better I thought, so I got that in the summer sale instead. Both do different stuff. The Arturia Trident is a little different from Softube. They just sound like variations of the same thing. Arturia has more options. Transient Shaper is good, but Envolution is the king of transient shapers to me. Been a while since I tried Transient Shaper, it could still be useful. There's just so much stuff to get. I'm trying not to spend more than $50 unless something is a big game changer for me.

Just grabbed the grand channel..., and a new fits all guitar stand to live by the rack. Thanks for the headsup! Looking forward to trying it. Anyone report CPU usage for this strip, compared to say plugin alliance SSL or Waves SSL?

Gonna grab that Grand Channel for sure. I used to have the TLA-100 and loved it.
Also, Transient Designer is my fav transient plugin. Thing is indispensable to me.
