My wife's uncle had passed, and he had the pile of family 8mm films, which we finally got hold of to transfer. One box turned out to be a 1/4" tape of original songs he'd recorded in the early '70's while in high school, and he'd clearly put in the time playing and singing. No one had any idea it existed. There's even a "What will they say when I'm dead and gone?" monologue(!).

My dads uncle had one of those old machines that would let you cut your own 78’s, besides his own stuff, some very cool recordings of things like boxing matches, “ the day of infamy” speech ect.
