I'm with Johnkenn with this one : ssd5 sounds very good. I installed the demo. Then, I created an instrument track in logic, put slate on it and made a copy of my logic drum track and dragged it into the slate channel: works fine, then you can mix the two together or what ever. This actually works better than SD3. So, I can fully use logic drummer to create my drum track, then copy that file over to an instrument track and it creates a midi file, which is editable, if I want and the midi file triggers slate. If I bus the slate track ,like my drummer track ,then they both share all the same plugs etc.: sweet ! ssd5-free.dl.drumclassroom.net/download/index.phpjust follow the instal video, you an actually keep the files in your download folder just to get started. if you have ssd4 the complete update is like $80 I think Attachment Deleted

I can't seem to finish the installation. I kept the files in my Downloads folder. I have the SSD Installation Manager working, but when I get to the page just before Install I get this: Attachment Deleted

5.5 out. Installed it and it sounds freaking great. Now - I hadn’t opened this plug for about two years…so maybe it’s the same 🤷♂️. Anyway - think I might give this a shot if I ever do another production. These sound more like you’re standing in front of them. There’s something plastic about all the Superior stuff. I don’t know what it is, but they just sound smacky and thin. These punch.

I've been saying that about the TT stuff for who knows how long, the Pearl Mimic renditions of some of the SD5 stuff sounds great. Bring on 5.5 then..

I use ssd 5 every mix also with Logic drummer producer plus kits, but I thought 5.5 was released sometime ago ? I really like ssd5 the sounds are quite finished sounding and it has an immediate commercial sound to it. But as a Roland V Drummer nothing beats SD3 for mapping to the Roland TD-50x. Toontrack have proper support for the new Roland digital snare, ride and hihat which nobody else can match. Since the release of Rooms of Hansa, Decades, Legacy of Rich and Hitmaker I’m finally happy with the SD3 sound. The stand out is Rooms of Hansa. I should post a clip with me triggering it playing TD-50x module - it really does capture the vibe very closely. I should say, I prefer real drums. If only my neighbours felt the same way
