just a FYI, Johnkenn. You probably need to renew the SSL certificate or something if it expired.

All login and registration processes/pages are https.

Right now, pro boards doesn’t offer SSL on anything but registration and login pages where there is pertinent data. V6 of Pb hosting will offer I site-wide. Apparently, google has been pushing this in the past few months which might explain why you’re now seeing some redirects. The redirects are automatically sent to pro boards and are supposedly being taken care of.
So - I think there’s a beta of v6 - I’m looking into it.

Google is really overblowing this as a universal problem, and vendors like GoDaddy are exploiting it by reaming people for security fees. Other places simply turn it on for you.

ok. unencrypted web forms that we type our messages into and click "send" are something we shouldn't worry, in regards to whether or not MITM hackers can read the transmitted data as plaintext, which is what happens when you send messages over HTTP channels, as opposed to HTTPS channels. Sounds good to me, EmRR. Should I email you my social security number and home address while we're being ridiculous? Johnkenn, take a look at LetsEncrypt, and see if the host you're using supports it. It's free and will give you an SSL certificate for use on the server.

Didn't want to make a separate thread for this so I'll throw it in here; I haven't been using the site on my phone because of potentially dangerous looking pop ups and rather than ignoring it I thought it best to bring it to attention to help the site. These are the deceptive type ads saying "you won" or "your device is infected" prompting me to click. I have pop ups blocked but they hit me on this site periodically. I know it's not my device or browser as none of the other sites I visit do this.
I'm using Chrome on Android. Hope that into helps!
