The side chain/and filters and mikes insistance on perfection are going to make this thing a must have imo and that's not even considering the fact it's both a revA and D at the same time

Speaking as someone who's had a pair of Splices for 8 months or so (albeit in 500 form, though they are 100% identical circuitry), yes they are definitely a must have for 1176 afficianado's.

the main differences between this and the 500-series version, excluding the extra switches, are the use of a digital switching system whenever you toggle something on the front panel. the 500-series used relays.

I love the cosmetics on the Serpent stuff. Very blingy and satisfying, yet not derivative, or cheesy.
