Jesse,
What I think I am noting are indicators of improvement not perfection. I have never said there aren’t grounds for complaints.
In life, we can tear people down or build people up. Clients with legitimate complaints should see those rectified ASAP, I agree with you.
I also feel for Josh and his team, who are also working hard to get things done, so offer them encouragement. We are all human and a little support can go a long way to help people keep going through their lives challenges.
It’s about perspective, as donr implicitly notes.
Peace, out .

People have every right to be pissed over crazy delays: without question. a Ponzi scheme is predicated on the idea of using Peter’s money to pay Paul and to create the illusion that a true business investment made that return. Josh in the past has over promised and under delivered and that’s not good, but I don’t believe that he intended to never provide product to clients. Anyway, people can always cut and run and get their refund. I hope in 21 Josh focusses on clearing his backlog, estimating his production capacity much more conservatively, under promising and over deliver and focus on improving his productivity: all that will stand him and his clients in better stead. What do you think would happen if 500 customers decided they wanted their refunds? Do you think that money is just sitting in an account ready to refund? I don't. "PayPal Protection" is only 180 days (which is why I requested my refunds when I did) and I doubt any Stam preorder has ever been delivered in that amount of time. There are a lot of people that could potentially lose money here and I worry for them. You can "hope" that things will change in 21, but you said the same exact things in 20 and 19. "He's got new staff." "Covid delayed things." "He lost all of his email." It's literally excuse after excuse. I'd love to see everyone spending their money with countless other companies who we interact with daily here on the board and actually follow through with their promises. This guy shouldn't be given the benefit of the doubt anymore. Your concern is valid but you don't need to worry, much less after 8 years of this never happening. This theoretical situation can not materialize anymore. 1. I don't have 500 existing pre-orders. After the 3.000 shipments made this year we have less than 250, most of them of clients that have bought multiple machines and have received some of them already. 2. This year shortly after Covid-19 we were ask to refund hundreds of pre-orders at the same time. They were all refunded. So yes, we had and have enough funds on PayPal to refund them all. Things already changed, they changed last year. We have been selling many units in stock. 47s, 87's, 500 series and thankfully whatever we build is immediately sold. This means we have cashflow because of our production, not pre-orders (which we almost don't take anymore) You can be at peace. Nobody will lose their money. Should that ever happen I am sure you will find out on here and probably help warn others as you have done in the past. J

Well, I can talk about my experience with Stam Audio.
I have two of their units, a 1073EQ and a 76ADF recently, and they are one the best sounding pieces in my studio.
I also had 2 or 3 preorders that I had to cancel at one point because of the delays. As far as I remember, they went smoothly and reasonably fast.
Other than that, I've almost never seen anyone saying on the internet that they tried to get a refund and was denied by Joshua or his team. When those rare cases appeared, I think Joshua stepped in no time to talk to the person, which is not something someone would do if they were trying to take the customer's money or doing a Ponzi scheme.
So, that's my opinion. They are legit and very talented, but they do have problems with delays and all - each preorder that I canceled and asked for a refund was a bummer, because I was waiting for the equipment for more than a year. But I do think Josh is taking care of this problem by not taking many preorders anymore, so that's a nice thing as well.

... still waiting...
Paid in full and confirmed shipping info beginning of November. Promised 3 weeks out...
Just confirmed... Received confirmation that I was in the first 150 order in May of 2018, and the units were shipping in July! Here is hoping that it can be under a 3 year wait time.

We have less than 250 pre-orders remaining By April none provided there is not another lockdown. Fingers crossed.

I put in my final payment a little over a month ago, and received a tracking number last week, although it doesn’t look like it’s actually shipped yet. It seems like I should finally receive my ADG sometime in the next couple months.

If you got a tracking number, it’s just a question of how long local pick up takes and actual shipment, but that is certainly encouraging!

FWIW, when I got my tracking number for my SA-67, it was late Thursday or early Friday, and the pickup didn't actually happen 'til Monday or Tuesday, so it took a few days before it actually shipped.

If you got a tracking number, it’s just a question of how long local pick up takes and actual shipment, but that is certainly encouraging! Not necessarily. A tracking number just means a shipping label has been created. It's possible my unit hasn't been built yet. I had an incident several months ago where I received a tracking number from Stam. I inquired a few weeks later and the unit still hadn't been built. I ended up cancelling that order. But I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

I feel like with my Stam purchases, once I got tracking, it did in fact ship within a couple weeks.

Well, after 34 months I have in my possession an ADG.
It looks like it survived mostly unscathed... One of the output transformers became loose and was sliding around. I will pop the top and tighten it up before powering it up tomorrow.

I am happy to hear you finally have your ADG Patrick
I can only apologize that it all took so long and hope it never happens again.
Let me know if you need any help with the transformer and how you like the unit
Thanks for your patience!

For those who have a Stam SA-67, how do you like them? I was almost tempted to pull the trigger on some that were on Reverb recently but they were the older version and I wasn't sure if that was the right move.
