Common in diy really. Plenty of places to get them though like don audio or collective cases Well, sure. I just find it odd because their other popular kits all do come with enclosures as far as I'm aware. Yeah there are a wide spectrum in diy stuff.

we will miss him? hes going to review new units without using? sad I feel like Stam maybe had a hand in "helping" him write those glowing reviews. They've certainly done it for others...

They've certainly done it for others... i highly doubt it, otherwise he wouldn't hopped on BAE wagon. IMO Stam gear is just excellent price/performance ratio at the moment but i can see how long waits can sometimes be counterproductive to some. in my situation, i dont mind, cause it gives you some time to save up.

Screw it. I just ordered a pair with the Sowters and line input. The $200 ($400 total) preorder discount was too hard to ignore. $1,598 for two channels is a pretty good deal if these things are as good as everybody says they should be. I've been reluctant to take the Stam plunge, because of the long wait times, but the Heritage Elite seemed too bright and I just kept having reservations about the shortcuts Warm seemed to take with their eq circuit. So I look forward to owning my first Stam products. how did you end up liking it? they should make a pair into 1 unit to lower the production costs like AMS 1073DPX to drop the price even lower, that would make it much more affordable to own 2 in 1

I can only speak for myself, but Stam didn't try to influence my review of the SA73 at all, not one word about it. I don't think it's fair or wise to accuse a manufacturer of "helping" with gear reviews unless you know that for a fact. It would only serve to make them less inclined to participate on gear forums, and I really appreciate it when manufacturers like Stam or Slate or Warm take the time to speak directly to us.

We would be really stupid if we would write to customers to leave a positive reviews for us
Anybody could just screenshot the email and accuse us of manipulating the truth or influencing customers do so for our profit, what a dumb thing to suggest.
Luckily the work we do speaks for itself, we don't need it.

I believe there have been several instances that I can recall where someone has said that they were offered a discount by Stam for posting a review. It's not exactly a secret.

That is so common it should just be assumed. That's not a new idea and its certainly not enough on an incentive to only say good things about it. Its more of a thank you for your time and effort.

To be clear, I wasn't suggesting that Stam wrote reviews for anyone or otherwise explicitly asked for positive reviews in exchange for a discount. That being said, it's still human nature, even if subconsciously, to tap the brakes on saying bad things about a product for which you were offered a discount. It's why those types of discounts are offered. I know that Stam isn't the only company that does this. But it still doesn't mean that I have to like it, especially if the reviewer doesn't disclose it.

All righty then, but seriously has anybody seen a bad review of this box ? Not me, it seems the only real decisions are which transformer and how patient are you ?

Problems with the sound quality or other problems? I honestly haven’t seen any, or are you referring to that hot bed of well informed opinions: gearslutz ?

Build quality/quality control: both units of mine were plaqued with strong ground loop noise whenever the EQ was engaged. Stam fixed that with their tech in France. Now there's noise only in other unit, when the low cut is engaged. I can live with that, but it's still not optimal. If anyone in EU wants to buy these 2 knowing this, I'm open for business! Faster delivery than Stam, I promise! Two units with line inputs and Sowters.

The ground loop noise is a pretty bad problem in my opinion. And there was the volume drop when engaging the EQ.

The ground loop noise is a pretty bad problem in my opinion. And there was the volume drop when engaging the EQ. There is no ground loop noise issue and there is no volume drop People asked for it to be the same level despite the original having a drop

Let me know your email via PM so we can look after it No expense to you We have close to 8.000 units around the world working flawlessly for years, my QC is extremely strict, this was an isolated problem that has been addressed
