The only way this ties to music is I heard about him in a jack white interview. I have really enjoyed listening to his lectures though so I thought I'd share. Very thought provoking. m.youtube.com/c/jordanpetersonvideos

Interesting character...don't always agree with his approach, but I like his stance on free speech.
He looks for some of the deeper meanings in cultural norms, and asks a lot of good questions along those lines, which inevitably leads to him being the victim of creative editing to make him look sexist or intolerant in interviews. For instance:

He's one of my favorite nuevo intellectuals.
I don't agree with all the things he says, but he certainly has a way of deconstructing the hypocrisy of the followers of certain political groups.
This has garnered a him a lot of the same dishonest coverage seen above, as it turns out people don't like being shown their obvious logical flaws..

Never heard of him until today, thanks Cortland, but I just watched several hours of his videos. I love any type of real, intellectual discourse. It's particular refreshing to see someone say "I don't know", when asked for certain answers. Too many people with an audience are trying to force their "answers" on us, when many times its the correct questions we should really be searching for. Like Svart just said, I doubt I'll agree with everything he says, but its great to be challenged sometimes.

I've brought this up in another off topic forum, but podcasts guys! I've actually seen him on the Joe Rogan Experience a handful of times. Here's a link to the last time he was there
For those uninitiated/unware don't sleep on JRE lots of fascinating long format conversations.

Too many worthless fucking pundits unleashed by internet overload. Rant over. Agreed, but it's harder to play that game in a 3 hour live unedited conversation/ podcast. None of that 3-5 minute talking head splattering points BS.... that cracks under a real conversation.

He is one of the more interesting voices on the internet. Like others have said I don't agree with all that he says, he gives me pause to think.

You know what, I prefer somebody I don’t agree with all the time, it was part of what made Bill Mahrs original show great, he was his own man! I’ll admit it I even like the Roseanne reboot, even as The guy Lagos proud to say that Elliot Madison, the anarchist who’s case went all the way to the Supreme Court was a friend in high school. It’s the most real situation on TV, we all can get along we are not sheep it’s called family! My politics are not JK’s or Donr’s but we can hang, there’s more to life than politics!
