As it seems we now have an official UA rep here, why not start one UA thread and any questions about UA get posted here ?

This would be great.
I want to make a product suggestion ... a hardware controller for their channel strips, a la Faderport 16 BUT with eq controls too, pan and mute. This would only control the UA Channelstrips and give perfect recall. I don’t think any other manufacturer could pull this off and it would give great tactile feedback. If you look at the success that the Console 1 has with so many people happy to get tactile :-) Imagine opening one mix with all API and the next one with all Neve in just a few seconds! I do that now but I am tied to mouse and keyboard.
Optionally you could stick an Apollo 16 under the hood and it would be a kickass digital workstation. (I would have one model with and one without though to cover different user needs)
All of this would work betterwith the expected UAD-3 faster, better chips of course :-D

UA and Softube created a new GUI so you can run ua plug ins as normal in console but using the softube controller instead of you mouse.

So that's two pre orders .... what are they waiting for? I would love to consult on it with them. With 2 x Apollo 8's, a Quad Satellite and over $2000 of plugins purchased - so far- I think I have the credentials ;-)
