Funny...the other day I sent a message to Dave Cobb that said, "I want to come over and slobber over your Helios..."
I edited after re-reading...That was in danger of coming off a touch homo (not that there's anything wrong with that)

Thanks Bro!!!! Question : Is there a waiting line to grab John's new Sta-Level on the used market? There's also a line forming to kick him in the nuts when he does sell it. Not sure which line is longer...

John, when I make that trip to Nashville to slap you upside the head with a wet fish, if you ever sell that Sta-Level, I'll be expecting my toaster too.

Lurker-lifeforms, if you have been assimilated, you might even get in the line for a submolecular food replicator instead of the toaster. Our collective intelligence will build one in the DIY zone, once we are big enough.

Ok, I'll join if you'll have me. Although I'm not a pro - really just a weekend warrior/hobbyist recording, well, me mostly. But I think I bought my first recording gizmo back in 1984 (Tascam porta one and an SM57) - so I've been at it at some level for a while.
And, I do like nerding out over gear, and I do like toast, so ...
Oh, by the way, I think the Breville has better DA conversion, but the Kitchenaid toasts a little more analog. No really, what do I win?
Cheers, Geoff

I'm wondering if the toaster is the new Slate toast emulator, you put the blandest piece of bread possible in,and it models your favorite type of toast, and recreates if for you. You can even blend toasts if you want to, say a nice rye, with a little oat bran developed from a grain made first in 1973. You can even save your toast presets, if you put in only a little dough, you get a "73 Junior.

yes, and then the upgrade promised in three months will take a year, but of course, it will have been improved, and your toast will now have all the lovely color of the original.

Whatever happened to the fusion reactor powered 12 string banjo? The Borg promised us so much.
