Hey guys -
Right on all accounts - I was on break for 10 days in December and now I'm up to my eyeballs with NAMM so I haven't been able to participate much on the forums.
I don't have time to read the whole thread, but just responding to the title - there is no new transfer limitation policy! We have had a transfer limit of 5 since way before I joined UA.
It's designed to protect people from purchasing gear with pirated licenses, which we see from time to time.
Historically, most people haven't had the need to transfer more than 5 devices out of their systems so they never bump into it. If people on this thread is bumping into it, just call Customer Support and make your case. All transfers are handled manually, so a human being will work with you and figure it out.
It might be time to re-evaluate the policy as it might restrict people from selling and upgrading their systems. We definitely don't want that!
Thanks for bringing it to my attention - I'll look into it... after NAMM.
Cheers!

Gannon then had an informative exchange with our cat5 about the problems he and JK had so Gannon certainly understands the unfortunate situation the policy puts legitimate sellers into.
