To all the Aussies,
Kmart has 1, 2, 5 & 15lt dry bags in the camping section.
I picked up 4 of the 5lt bags for $6 each. Being an island we are not short of sand.
Will prob get a couple more at some point but for $24 20kg of sand bags is not bad.

can't see your link svart? Strange, I can see it. It's just the 3 gallon Large ziploc bags with handles. They're about 6$USD for 3 here at the supermarket. The bags of sand are also about 2$ each for 50 lbs at the hardware stores. Try it this way:

I use my sets of Caldwell shooter's bags here. They are folded so they fit around the legs very tight. They also discourage any potential thefts.

I got shot bags from a film supply web site. Not cheap, but good preventative medicine.

I often use 10 lb weight lifting weights slipped down over the stand's upright (have to take the clutch apart). Works especially well on cast base stands - round bottoms and Atlas triangular.
Get 'em cheap at Goodwill, garage sales, flea markets, etc.
