Damn! When I was house sound engineer at the old Mabuhay Gardens punk/metal club in SF I did sound for Faith No More many times - they were a regular feature on Tuesday nights when the club was virtually empty and the few patrons who were there often pelted the band with baskets of popcorn (provided by the management of the club as a service because it was a lot safer than beer bottles.) It was also my misfortune to do the 3 gigs Courtney Love did with them befrore getting ignominiously canned. Of all the bands playing the club at that time, FNM was probably the most unlikely to make it big as far as most of the scene regulars were concerned - it sure surprised a lot of people when they hit. Goes to show, you never know.... RIP Chuck, guess your demons are finally behind you now...
