Yeah, I think you nailed it. The Shelford series is about pure redemption for Rupert Neve. He's taken the "Oh, you think you can outdo me at my own game, mofo?" to a whole other level.

Not quite a fair comparison there. Fixed bands vs. Variable. The $1100 two channel BLA EQ that I have is a bit more of a fair comparison I think.

That's a good deal when you consider comparable units. As I stated originally in this post, there is a bit of Rupert Neve saying to the cloners "so you think you can beat me at my own game?" in all this. And to that, I say, Good on 'im!
