I’m currently running 4038’s into a Pacifica through a pair of 550’s for my drum OH. But am looking to add another EQ choice for highend lift, perhaps pultecs, Or?

Pultecs would be a classic for the high end lift.
I've heard people mention the MAAG EQ4 and the Clariphonic for this purpose as well.

Yeah, an eq with a real nice high lift would also be what I would be looking for when using ribbons on OH, not that that's some kind of secret. A lot of people like to do that. I like to use a pair of LilPEQRs for this purpose. I also have a pair of those new KT Pultecs but I haven't had a chance to try them on OHs yet.

Pair of EQP-KT... pair of ribbon room mics.... Match made in heaven? Haven't patched it in yet. I also have a ribbon mic dedicated to acoustic guitar that I'd really like to try the pultecs on... EQP-KT or the Lindell op amp version!

LilPEQr's are awesome if you have some of the originals with Mariners in them. Not sure about the "purple" versions. And if I don't mind saying, the air / presence lift on drBill's Silver Bullet is spectacular.

I haven't been able to use my recently acquired pair of 4038's in anger quite yet but I figure the high end EQ of our AEA RPQ should play pretty nicely with the Coles.

I've been using an AEA RPQ with an AEA R88 on overheads for several years and while not Coles the air band is nice to add a little lift, and also for rolling out some low end. I racked up a pair of Melcor GME20's and the 7K on those is more of a wide bell instead of a shelf (at least I think it is) and it's a nice change up. I personally wouldn't mind hearing the Electrodyne 511. The Analog Allstars EQP-1S5 is a great, affordable (if you DIY) EQP-1A3 reproduction.
I'm surprised the 550's aren't work for you though. What aren't you liking from them?

For tracking drums I really like these: With the HS opamps they're incredible for fixing problems such as ringing or to really give a snare or bass drum authority.
