I was starting to wonder what happened to Randy.
All those V things are notorious for input transformer failure, and lots of strong opinions (I don't agree with) about how you shouldn't test one with a multimeter.

Yeah I'm afraid it's the input trafo. Either way, any recommendations who would be up to working on it?

You want someone familiar with them, who can possibly source an original input transformer if it's the problem. I'm all over the American stuff, but have never worked on the German.

Maybe check with Mercury? I think they used to rack them before getting into clones.
