I needed to put a solo on this track to finish it up and so I hit it today before dinner. It was one of those days where I couldn't even play in the key of 4 sharps for crying out loud. I hate my brain sometimes, especially when I haven't warmed up. I threw in about 6 takes and hated everything so I said screw it and ran to dinner. Had one of those waiters that just made excuses after taking the order from multiple other tables that sat down 15 minutes after you... ugh. I digress. He turned out alright.
So I come home and lo and behold, one take isn't so bad actually. I tracked with a short scale Telecaster I built with my own Gibson style humbuckers into a Muleskinner tweed princeton circuit with 12" speaker. OCD pedal on the way in. Picked it up with a Crimson orange sm57 real close into the vp28. Input up at 12(the amp was LOUD) and fader at 9pm. Radial six pack allowed me to switch straight over to the next slot which is the BT50. Ahhh no patching. I bumped it 4 db at 5k with the top band in peaking mode. That's it. Made a huge difference.
I may adjust a couple notes timing, but overall I think this will work. This is for my music production licensed music library. Kind of a 90s Wallflowers influence. See attached.
Let me know what you think. Just some show and tell. Geezuz I need to practice...
