Guess not. So I started this no sugar, no grain diet on July 5. So far I'm down ~15 lbs in 37 days. I've also been reading the Wild Diet and using some of those concepts. Eating a ton of great food a d barely miss the sugar/grain. I just had an omelet with butter sautéed asparagus, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, mild cheddar cheese, and hot sauce.

I'm no expert, but I've been somewhat 'into' nutrition for a good while now. Just glanced at the "Wild Diet" thing and, silly marketing aside, it seems pretty good to me. Glad you're having success!
In my experience, pretty much all real and legitimate 'diets' boil down to controlling your blood sugar. The processed, sugar heavy shit that makes your glycemic index a crazy roller coaster is brutal and also addicting. Anywhere near a proper ratio of lean protein, good carbs (veggies, low glycemic fruits) and good fats and your metabolism and hormones start to get back into the zone they're meant to be in. Also the bogus low-fat stuff that led everyone down the wrong road in the 80s and 90s did a lot of damage. Same with the calorie counting stuff.
Anyway, I don't have anything really worthwhile to add but I'm glad it's working for you. I think healthy eating is a huge deal, physically and mentally/emotionally.
I eat really healthy and love it, my weakness is the beer...

ragan, that second paragraph pretty much sums it up. Avoiding added sugars. Low carb intake. And a good mix of veg, protein, and good fats. Beer is a problem though. I've limited my beer intake and switched to mostly tequila and soda (seltzer), but still rock some beers when the urge hits.

Nitpicking I suppose but all the "low carb" diets taught everyone to consider just bread/pasta type stuff to be 'carbs'. Low carb diets should be called "low shitty carb" diets. I still rock some beers when the urge hits too. Problem is it hits a lot... It's not just the alcohol, I just love beer. Seattle is a beer mecca and there is such good stuff to be had here. Hard to keep it outta my fridge. And mouth.
