There's a video. Sounds like an eq. I want something new. I'm not even sure what it would be though. And congrats JK.

An emulation of a poorly executed and even worse constucted knock-off clone of an original that has already been cloned and emulated to death?
Do go on. I'm intrigued.

I'm not up on my Neve history, but are you guys calling a 1073 a knock-off clone of something?
Secondly, what's wrong with releasing a new version of something that's already been done if you think you can do it better?

The general consensus is: The Scheps 73 is a widely disregarded dodgy knock-off of the beautiful 1073 platform, even when it perversely uses actual Neve 1073 circuits.

No, I don't think so. Shep Neve is this group: Shep AssociatesWaves collaborated with engineer/producer Andrew Scheps on the Scheps 73 plug: Waves Scheps 73Interestingly, the emulation includes the 10K setting on the mid band supposedly included in the original 1073 schematic. But I don't think Shep and Scheps are affiliated in any way. Confusing. But the plug may be a good one, has an M/S option, and is on sale for $99. Cool.

Anyone using this? It's only $99 and Waves is giving out a $50 voucher, so $49 total. I don't have any Neve style EQ in my arsenal, so I'm thinking about grabbing it. Thoughts?

I'll quote Ward"An emulation of a poorly executed and even worse constructed knock-off clone of an original that has already been cloned and emulated to death?" Probably a good idea to wait for Slate's offering.

well i own it... 8)
I liked it. Particularly the M/S side of things.
Since then, I got the IK73 EQ. I haven't used the waves one since.
At 49 bucks, its a good price though.
cheers
