Looking for suggestions for a good input keyboard for use with DAW. I have Cubase, Samplitude and Mixbus32C installed. Seems like I should get a version of Pro Tools as well, since some people considering using the studio to bring in projects have asked about it. Wireless would be great, though not necessary. Are the ones sold specifically for a given software worth the extra cost? IOW, Sweetwater sells keyboards with all of the shortcut keys highlighted with different colors, labels, etc.. I would think a generic one would be best unless I only ever used one DAW. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CubaseKeyPC

I learned my most used key commands as a result and feel like even if I had that keyboard I'd be quicker using my memory. I don't use tons of key command, but food for thought.

If you need to be searching the keyboard to figure out where the shortcuts are anyway, you're not really saving any time. If it's for your personal use to help learn, by all means, but for outsiders, I wouldn't invest in something like that.
