Just for a member drive. I did it once before for about three days and it got us about 5 new members...There are tons of different price points...but maybe we could go for like 3 days for $100 or something. Really, if you just want to throw a dollar or two with the donate button (If you want to donate $1000, save it for the personal donation drive  ) I will just adjust the ad or however much we get... |

BTW - we've been picking up some new members here lately and as far as page views, things are starting to pick up back to where they were pre-holidays.

I've been doing it off and on since I started it...gotten 3 donations - one from you. Between the fees for Proboards (they say it's free, but it's not), photobucket (I have to store some of the adverts there), Adpeeps, Bannersnack and other things, I end up spending around $50 a month. One thing I hadn't expected is that these storage places charge for "bandwidth" - so, for instance, as traffic is going up, so are the views of the stored banner ads - which causes me to have to upgrade my subscription service.
As far as advertising goes, the fee is so low now that it doesn't cover operating costs. The hope is, that will change once we get more page views and membership...but it's kind of a catch 22 until then.
I think we gained some new members when @matkatmusic posted an invite on the Pensado Facebook site...and we probably average about one new person a day. The best way to grow it - I've come to find - is through word of mouth...
I've invited UA, Slate and several others over but received no response. I'm sure they're inundated with requests...but maybe they'll come with time.

We'll see...I've done it a couple of times in the past and my experience is that it might net 10 more members...Not sure if it's worth the price, but lets see what happens. I really think the key is just word of mouth.
And BTW - thank you guys for being here! 225,000 page views in 4 months. I feel like if we could get that to 1 million page views in a year, that would be pretty amazing.

Not so sure I'd care for an infestation of "just anybody's". It's pretty peaceful around here. Hate to lose that with a a bunch of random wankers coming in.
