Yep. Tried it but can't comment on it yet. The one I got from Bryce was one of two prototypes and wasn't all the way there yet. I can say this though with a good amount of certainty, when it hits the shelf, It'll fly right back off of the shelf. Place your orders early if you want one. 600 clams is nothing for a comp like this. Cinimag transformer, I mean come on. Great deal.

2014 will probably see me selling a huge amount of my gear. The client base just isn't justifying what I ...I'm pretty confident I can do my OWN work close enough to the level of now that I'm happy with... Worst answer to "new gear you want" ever. Agreed. Sorry...I will be likely buying a ClassA amp'd AD converter. Slutty AD, yo....to complete a small stereo IO rig. Better?

I shot him an email weeks ago and he said he was gonna come over. No sign of him yet.

I want to improve my monitoring situation. Either a BM9S sub to match my little BM5As or something else completely. Maybe Barefoot MM27s.

Daking Micpre IV is on my list. Probably will end up doing a new computer build also, it's getting about time for that.

Well, I ordered the WA76, €649, so it's a bit more than in the US. Still great value if it's as good as it seems to be. Oh, and I also ordered a new dishwasher. And I'm tired of my cutlery...

I wish I had space for a dishwasher. Good knives are a must if you do any cooking. You know what's funny? We've had one now for the like 7-8 years we've lived in this house...and over the holidays, it gave up the ghost. I like it better without, honestly. But, then we have a kind of ideal thing now--because we use the dishwasher (which still drains/rinses itself fine) as a "in cabinet dish drain"--ie, wash and set it into the racks to drip dry. I guess grass is always greener. But, I like that everything is always clean now. I combine cooking and cleaning...waiting for water to boil? Put the now dry dishes away. Need to simmer something for a few minutes--fill up the sink with hot suds and start loading it in...after dinner, plates go straight into water...finish the relative small dishes and set them in to dry. Shit is zen. And believe me...I'm not that guy who's making the best of a bad situation--I mean, I'm not that guy...I'm a whiny spoiled brat, grand scheme...it's taken me by surprise how lovely it is...of course, if you're the guy who lets dishes pile up until there's a multiple loads and you hit some plastic on the bottom once the water is lukewarm and greasy...as long as you stay on top of it, I'm finding I like not having a dishwasher.

If anyone here would say they prefer not having a dishwasher, it would be popmann. I still want one. I've got a 6 month old. Kid makes an insane amount of dishes on top of what my wife and I have. Give me the washer baby!

Slate is working on a dishwasher plug in that'll emulate several popular brands as well as various detergents. Should be ready in 2015. Will keep your dishes virtually clean...

Yeah...I already disassembled it. I know what the issue is...it's about $70-100 in parts. Something got in the impeller and busted it to all hell--which took the piece above and below it out because it continued to work, just got loud. It happened right before new years...I'm in financial lockdown mode right now trying to get money together for the new EP I have mostly written. Other things to do. HONESTLY...not taking more time to do them by hand bit by bit while cooking than it did to load up the dishwasher until it was full run....put away... Down with Autotune AND dishwashers....Nashvilel Luddite Society meets on Wed night. Just ask if you need an invite.

Give me the washer baby! That's funny. Popmann is a character. I have to side with Pop Mann though. Our dishwasher broke, and you'd be surprised how "zen" and proper things can be without it. The workload does not even seem to have increased. We also use ours as a drying rack. It's also funny that Thich Nhat Hanh writes in his buddhist mindfulness book about living in the moment when washing dishes. There might be something to it, actually.

No new sub-forum then? "So many appliances, so little time."
Gearwise, I'm expanding my Eurorack modular this month: A new sequencer, an oscillator or two, and a few other bits there and there. Have another 9U case coming since I outgrew my other one last year. Can't think of anything on the radar that's specifically pro audio but you never know...
