Curious if anyone who shares a space and either leases from, or to, someone else would mind sharing some thoughts on the numbers involved? Square foot? Hourly? Weekly? Monthly? Etc...... Utilities and other stuff? I am having some interest from people in my place and want to stand on solid ground while negotiating.

I had a large lockout studio for several years that I subleased. We split the rent 50/50, utilities were included so that wasn't an issue. It was a large space, we roughly divided the room in half but worked to conserve space and make it comfortable for everyone. We split time roughly 50/50 too. We started a calendar on gmail, shared it with each other and would put down our days so that we always new when the studio was booked. We each had 2 assigned days a week and the other days we'd split as needed.
Again, this was a high end rehearsal studio but we both did a lot of recording out of there. It worked out well for us. Hope this helps.

Do you mind sharing what the cost per square foot breakdown was, if you recall? Was the space furnished with equipment?

Do you mind sharing what the cost per square foot breakdown was, if you recall? Was the space furnished with equipment? The room was 16x19 with 15' ceilings. Cost was $2.30/sq ft, so $700 total (divided by the two parties $350 each). It was unfurnished. Just a big empty room but it worked well for what we needed. The facilities were nice, it had gated, secured parking, good security (cameras etc), and the a/c was so cold you had to wear a jacket in summer lol. And as stated utilities (internet and electric) was included. Btw, for reference this was in North Hollywood, CA.

I rented a 20x20 rehearsal room in Boston about 10 years ago. We shared the room with another band. $400/mo total with utilities include. It was a good deal at the time.
