Why not just price the unit such that shipping is a flat $20 around the world? Claiming it'll cost $399 but shipping is $100 isn't really being honest to the customer. Your pricing seems like you took pricing lessons from GainSaver.com lol How is it not being honest to the customer? Shipping fees are published on my website, facebook page and ebay Also, it is not 100 to the US, more like 65 or 70 max, which is not that bad. I cant say 599 including worlwide shipping cause it will cost my south american clients the same as my asian clients, it makes no sense.

Think most people here never even thought you had any domestic clients.
It's tunnel vision at its worst.

I agree. I'm not in the market for this (I have a pair of AML ez1073-500s and a bunch of CAPI gear), but I am way more excited about seeing a flat product price vs. a before-tax-before-shipping fee as the listed price. I'd much rather purchase something that costs me exactly $599 if it says "only $599 s/h included", compared to something that's $499 and when I add it to my cart and go thru check-out, it actually costs $622.38 because S/H was $50, and the local tax was $72.38. It's like when you buy a car and the dealer throws on a ton of extra charges. Tax, Destination Fee, Inspection Fee, paperwork Fee, cleaning fee. Sure, it started out as $19,999, but became $22898.64 when you signed the dotted line... Totally agree. Just add it in to the price of the unit.

Well my SA4000 was $100 shipped to me so seeing a reduction from that to $50-$75 for shipping definitely helps... All products? I believe the SA2A is the most expensive for shipping...

FWIW I'd like to jump in as I'm the bloke in Australia that Chase is hoping to send his unit to and get a new one from Stam when he completes the 5 in his latest batch ( eta dependent on part availability). To refresh memories: The arrangement is Stam will provide Chase a new one to his liking, I will purchase the old from Stam and rather than return the old one to Chile, Chase will send it direct to me to cut out one of possible two freight charges.
I reckon Joshua has his heart in the right place but in the words of a great saying I heard the other day, ' his ambition has written a cheque his ability can't cash', To name one major issue - essentially he has given delivery dates that business realities such as parts / transport,, staff sickness etc render unrealistic . That might not be such a problem if he didn't have people's up front money. I bet he's flat out like a lizard drinking ( a taste of Australia right there colloquialism aficionados!) and doing all he can, so can you imagine trying to answer a daily truckload of emails as well as design/ build gear and take care of admin. To top it off he gets called out for being disorganised with some intimation of ripping people off as well; in his snowed under state I'm not surprised he's sometimes testy but that shouldn't be the customer's problem - as others have said the customer is always right unless they're being abusive.
In my particular case the new SA 4000 Chase is to receive was according to an e-mail from Stam, to hopefully be finished in the week of 20 - 25 / Feb dependent on parts. Up till that e-mail Stam had replied promptly and with normal courtesy. A follow up e-mail from me on the 28th Feb to enquire where things were at has not received a reply which I put down to just being busy however I'm not holding my breath and it's c'est la vie in regards to SA 4000 for me; if it happens, it happens. Meanwhile I note Chase is using the SA 4000, it's not really a worry as we are brothers on this board but if I was to be churlish perhaps I should be negotiating a new lower price for it from Stam given the delay.
I have an SA 87 on order, completion slated for mid Mar; again not holding my breath but am expecting that date to be honoured because Joshua has had my 200USD deposit for 2 months by then.
As to delivery charges I'm happy that a price ex Chile is what is quoted ; a world wide blanket price is unfair on some. Individuals should pay freight and taxes as it applies to them and their country.
I hope you read this Joshua and understand that most are behind you in providing great products at great prices but there are things such as realistic dates and absolute organisation which are pre-requisites when people are paying up front IMO, meanwhile I look forward to the day I get to use what others are by and large very happy with.
Cheers all, Ross

Cheers all, Ross Hey Ross When I send an email and dont get a response I normally send a friendly reminder, as a business owner I understand sometimes people are very busy and we get pushed back on their priority list of things, so if you don't hear back from me in the future within 48 hours please do send me a reminder, I will respond for sure. If you send an email and it was not answered withing a few days it will be not be answered 2 months later. With regards to yours and ChaseUTB unit I have just sent him an email yesterday, I am out for the momment thus a replacement will have to wait for the next batch, I had some units but they were taken and as you may understand my priority was to service those clients. I will honour what was agreed though, just need more units in stock. In terms of the entire shipment matter, there is a reason why I have priced my units so low, I have taken into account that shipping will be added from Chile and I have reduced my margin to stay competitive. I use much more expensive parts than my competitiors at the same price range which leaves me with a smaller margin but allows a lot of people to enjoy our replicas.

OK...lets keep it civil. I can understand both sides. Amen. And ChaseUTB just know, I'm not stam's buddy . . . I've never met the guy. But I do like what he's doing and really really want him to succeed at this because it benefits all of us. From being a customer of his, I have learned a lot about patience. LOL. Enough said?

Seeing as you are speaking about me but not to me and won't at me or quote me here is your response 😌🤔 I have never bragged about any money i have spent and always talk about how I'm saving/ trying to save and can't afford what I need and how I'm never on a huge budget. I can't feed my daughter Plugins or UAD vouchers or SA4000's... I was also hit by a car and have been recovering from being completely handicapped the past 16 months and my SA4000 order was almost cancelled due to this however my daughter and GF insisted I go through with the purchase because I never treat or invest back into myself...

It's worth it to me, because I just can't swing the bigger one right now. After 5G's of recent unexpected dental work, I'm lucky I can buy a bowl of soup for a little while ;-)
I think I'm going to do a video on one of these. I've done the Warm Audio API style, the Dizengoff Abbey Road REDD 47 style, so finally using Neve 1073 style will complete my sampling of good sounding classic style preamps, and I'll know which type suits me best.
As soon as I can swing it, I'm getting the Stam SA-4000. That thing's a good deal if it was 3X the price, and a godsend to many of us here at the price Stam's selling them for.
