No? Get the Eagles catalog--set aside a whole day. I assure you you've never heard the Eagles recordings on digital outside of Hotel Cali, which has been done well a few times...DCC made a nice CD decades ago...the DVD-Audio was ok, if a little pinch too loud. I preferred the DCC CD. So, if you have either of those, the new one is subtly nicer--but, the treat for ME was hearing my fave album of theirs--One of These Nights finally given a nice master. DR 11&12 throughout. Whole catalog now available.
The old remasters tend to vary depending on which CD version you own. I'm a huge Prince fan, but his remasters sound like ever so slightly richer versions of the original CDs. But, if you buy 1999 TODAY (or post mid 90s) on CD, the new master sounds exponentially better due to simply being presented at original dynamic range with modern converters.
The new stuff, for the most part, unfortunately is as crushed as the CD masters...they sound better, due to being presented in original sample rate, but I think it's a little bullshit to make a version that's obviously intended for active listening (who has mobile 24/88 players?)...but, it hit as hard as the CD and mp3. The Porter, I've never heard the CD. I bought it there. It's stunning--louder than I would ideally like, but at DR9--that's the new "I care about sonics" standard for some reason. New albums by TTB...Porter...Jane Monheit....all ranking in that range.

Get any of the high rez?
Interesting note...whatever algorithm Apple's Soundcheck uses....Liquid Spirit is noticeably louder than anything else on my iPhone. It's DR9, which is quiet by much of today's standard....but, I've got plenty of DR12s and such on there that play seamlessly next to DR6-7 modern ones...so, it's obviously not using JUST dynamic range to determine what to turn up and down.

That's some good sounding Jazz. You can probably stream it on Spotify. Itunes only gives you samples.
