Just finished ordering presents for the family and trying to make some sense of the next few weeks for myself - and I've finished ordering my own presents: I've got a t.Bone SCT 800 on the way (Basically a single diaphragm Apex 460 to any Americans). Then a cheap headphone amp,some headphone cables, speaker stands for mounting my diffusers, the usual stuff. My girlfriend's also coming home for Christmas from Japan, she's been away since August. So I guess that's nice too!  So, what's in store for you? |

I'm looking forward to a little DIY this holiday, LC53As and another U76 on the way. But the big thing this Christmas would be a pair of Steve Jackson's Pultecs. Haven't decided yet. Still negotiating with Santa.

Yeah, quick mix gig to help offset holiday bills! Hopefully more...
I do still have the money set aside for an AD. I'm seriously not gonna buy it until these songs are done with writing and I'm ready to go...otherwise, it would provide another distraction from lyric writing. I had planned for an EP...and I'm sitting here looking at 9 new tunes...maybe lyric writing will weed some out...

Hmm. Give me a few weeks to get over the holidays and finish up some tracking that I'm working on. When we get to the mix stage, I'll try to put together a demo. I actually have a VLA 2 in my rack already that needs to be hooked up too. It would be cool to see how similar/different they are. I only grabbed it because I got it tossed in with the eq for an extra $90 shipped. Figured that for that little cash I could give it a go.

Going to look at a '52 RI Tele later this morning. Unless it's effed up, it's mine.
Oh, and an Ampeg SVP-Pro preamp, used off of eBay. Using it for the first time this weekend. The glow of the 5(!) 12AX7s warms the heart.
