Happening right now. I want that Pro MB so bad I can't stand it. Pro Q would be nice, too.

ProQ isn't worth it. It doesn't sound better than Cubase's StudioEQ, IME. It's more FLEXIBLE, with a nice UI, mind you...I guess if the UI gets you there quicker and you don't mind the sound of DAW EQ... That MusEQ I just demod has been the first EQ to get my attention in a while. It has some UI challenges that seem arbitrary...and sucks a TON of CPU...and doesn't replace anything I regularly use...but, it has a nicer than typical digital sound. Sometimes I think that Logic/FF UI where it shows you frequency response of the incoming audio is encouraging the wrong senses are used for audio.

Have you tried that Multiband, Jamie? Blew my ears back. Couldn't find the bottom of it's capabilities during the demo period. Will have at some point.

Pro DS is the best and easiest I've used...

Have you tried that Multiband, Jamie? Blew my ears back. Couldn't find the bottom of it's capabilities during the demo period. Will have at some point. I've never much found a use for multiband compression outside of problem fixing*. So, no...maybe we should have a discussion about what people are using multiband compressors for. I know one guy who uses them to shape every track he does with a mic. Literally. So that he can use one mic for everything. It's funny-for a long time he'd give me crap about all my mics I owned and would bring in for sessions...and I thought "how on earth can he not get this...how can he record everything with that 4033?" --then I saw a session one day at his house. He's a younger guy who has never recorded other than computers. So, he assumes you use multibands to adjust the frequency response on every track. I get that it's kind like EQ and dynamics all in one...becomes "the tone shaper" for the track...maybe it just came too late for me. *I think FXG is actually doing some multiband limiting...but, that's just my tool for "wanna hear it silly loud quickly"...not something I count on for a mix.

I should mention (back to the EQ)--it's filters in linear phase mode are better than the Cubase ones...but, not as good as the old Waves Masters bundle with it's low band specific algorithm. So, technically, combined with being able to work in M/S, it's far more functional than the Cubase EQ. I simply meant the tone of it sounds the same to me doing the same kind of curve. ie--perfectly useable, just nothing noteworthy.
