I always wanted a VP26DI . If I ditched the output knob and put a 1/4 inch jack there , would it be difficult to hook it up ?
I have zero engineering skills , but I can follow a diagram or instructions .
Anyone pull this off ?

that is true and a possibility . But being a cheap broke ass bastard like me , slapping in a 1/4 inch jack and a few jumper wires costs a couple bucks and would yield an awesome rare VP26DI .  |

Instrument level signal != Mic level signal.

Instrument level signal != Mic level signal. != means "not equal" for you non-coders out there. And yes, that's correct. You'd also need an impedance converter of some type as well. I don't believe there is any portion of the circuit in the VP26 that is high enough impedance to interface with a passive pickup. You'd need some kind of FET impedance converter and buffer circuit before you could wire up a DI. |

I actually had one once. Done exactly how you described it (ditched output atten). If I can find a photo I'll shoot it your way!!
