We could live without music.
That's where she's totally off track. Humans can't live without music. The body can survive without music, yes, but the soul starves. Whether we need more music is debatable, especially since 90% of the produced music is worthless crap. But that was always the case. 'Sugar Sugar', anyone?

Well, expanded context would be "recorded" music. There'd still be music.

I thought the Susan Rogers interview was very, very inspiring. On so many levels. I highly recommend it. And while I'm at it, here's a shout for Tape Op in general. I always get a lot of good ideas from every issue. And it's FREE. What's not to like?
