Does anybody have experience with this somewhat rare tube Mic from the 70s? One has come up for sale, locally, and most reports I find on it seem to look at it rather favorably.
The capsule is an m7 clone from Leningrad, apparently.
Its preamp seems unusually simple!
Anyway...Just checking to see if anyone has tried one.

Kinda looks like one of the Lomo.

The preamp is apparently the same as what was in the 19a19 (lomo), but everything else is unique to Oktava.

Why did someone change the capsule and not clean the contacts?
It looks very like the Lomo, but they're single diaphragm afaik. Would be curious about the power supply, it's gonna make a difference in a single ended preamp design like that.

I think the capsule is original- just cleaned. Every MK13 I've come across uses the same one. But yes...looks like the rest could use some cleaning, too.
Between this or a DIY U47 clone currently for sale...I'm debating.
Thanks for the advice, jazz. I'll ask about the power supply.
