Hmm. Sounds like my MK012s through my 312s but without the low end.. Horses for courses I suppose, I thought that link lacked any low end whatsoever.

Man, i gotta get this band to finish their stuff so i can let you hear what I'm talking about. Acoustic guitar without low end is like meat without potatoes. You can have it, but its missing something.

Sounds great to me - just the way a guitar should sound. Shannon's just finished my CV4 mod and it's being sent to me right now. I believe John sung into it before it left for the sunny shores of Australia... Man, I can't wait!

Halfstar, how long did the whole process take from Aus? how much was the postage? im also in Aus and considering the mod Hi, well I ended up just buying a new CV4 from Sweetwater in the states and sent it straight to Shannon. It took a while to do because of the Christmas season but I think it'll be worth it. It cost me around $370 for shipping back though - probably more with the dollar going down. So, it is pretty damb expensive. I am eventually going to send my other one (here in Australia)to him for a matched pair. It'll be one hell of a journey, but before I send it off, I'll line them both up (modded and unmodded) and do a bit of a shootout... |

Okay, so I got it, and I'll move to the CV4 Stock vs Mod files to post detailed impressions. But - I just don't think I'm
gonna need another large diaphragm condenser again after this - unless I get another one of these as a matched pair - or if Shannon starts doing the same kind of thing with other mics. It's fantastic.
