That's pretty cool... But you need auxs to make it worthwhile. Give me 2 mono and 2 stereo in a 3u package. That would be the best hybrid solution with faders.

I could care less about faders. Let me do console style headphone mixing/FX sends, and I will take Jeff's summing mixer to the 2buss. ...Though riding a few faders into PT would be cool😎

For what it is it's pretty cool but, for that kind of money, I'd rather just use a simple 8 or 16 fader daw controller in conjunction with something like the Sigma or Jeff's upcoming vca system.

Vince always has made great gear. His LiLo mixing desk is really nice. John Oram had a similar fader pack which I owned years ago that went along with his eight channel mixer, and it was branded Trident. ( we won't get into that here ). This Speck VF16M would be the perfect finishing touch for my custom sidecar project, which uses the API 8200 and 8200A for sixteen channels. But yeah, it's a lot of money. If you look at this as a type of summing mixer, it starts to look a little bit less expensive. Imagine if he offered it with some sort of motorized faders. I hope he does well with it. Purple Audio was hinting at something similar several years ago, but I don't recall if it ever got off the ground.

I would definitely be interested then.

Has anybody have experience with their equalizer? I am contemplating beginning to track with an outboard unit that is cost effective and of course sounds wonderful for the money. The Warm offering and the Speck are in the ballpark of that under a grand zone. The Warm I have heard but not the Speck.

If I were to build a modular clean console this would be one of the front runners. They are great problem solvers, they are not tone machines like API or Neve. They are in the SSL camp without as much of footprint. The Transformer can add a bit of tone, but I would say it's designed to solve problems rather than add color.

Overpriced, and under featured. Nice idea though.

Overpriced, and under featured. Nice idea though. If this had Daw control and an aux it would be a great front end to the mixer Im building but otherwise its a bit over priced. Concerning their eq, its a whole different ballpark from Warm and is actually pretty nice and offers no color. Id put it more in the realm of ssl.

I think the tag line "when you need X.....but you don't really need a console"....cracks me up every time.

Overpriced, and under featured. Nice idea though. Yes and no. It's probably a little overpriced given the lack of features, but it still looks better than the fader packs from Purple Audio. I spent a couple months looking for a fader pack just like this towards the end of last year and couldn't find anything close enough. The Purple seemed to only work with their mixer, I couldn't get any response from Aurora Audio, the Alesis Multimix 12R had a lot of user complaints, the Tonelux seemed confusing and I don't really like that translucent booger colour scheme they use, and there was another company I can't remember the name of who made 500 series faders but they were too expensive. Anyways, my point is that I ended up buying an SSL X-Desk instead, which is even more expensive and probably has more features than I need, when something like this would have been perfect and cheap in comparison.

[ Since it is a summing mixer, the faders carry audio , triple to quadruple the price for auto and moving faders ! I agree that it would increase the price a lot. Hence why I'd rather go with a daw controller and a vca unit.
