I have to blame myself. I just was to lazy to walk to the smallest mic locker in the world to use the UMT70 and I did use one of my cheap China AKG clones which is great for acoustic guitars. Now the vocal take is great but it has a HF shine on it which I just cant love and EQ is hardly solving it.
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK....... did I say FUCK ....YES
Happy 2017 to all....

Waves c4/ c6 or TDR Nova or izotope many multiband comps could surely help smooth out what you do not like!

I like Soothe. Used it for the first time on the track I just finished. The Delta button lets you hear just what's going away, and the mix knob lets you use less than you thought you'd need.

I just right now, used it on a delay return for a main vocal with 8th delays on it... for want of a better explanation... it sounded a bit tape ish... which is just what I wanted. cheers Wiz

My Zulu test will be about this very issue! I bought a Superlux CMH8A off eBay and will track some vocals through a clean preamp (Rane MS1B) with and without Zulu. Thanks -L.

Solved the problem with EQ and Slate VTM 456 normal bias.... not the best solution but better than nothing...
I am interested in Zulu but I have my doubts it will ever see the light of the world??

Some negative notch EQ in the high mids or treble can also be very useful for this problem. Something I have been using a lot lately.
