Is it just me, or is it that since they have introduced the subscription method, they've released MANY more features under a single version, compared to the crap 11.3.1 where they left 11 on for no reason other than a cash grab on forced upgrades.
I'm pretty sure 12.6.1 should be 11.9.2.
rant over.

rant over. I'm with you. They left 11 in the dust in a hurry, without bug fixes.

You get the bug fixes if you upgrade but you would't listen to your friend Matty

You get the bug fixes if you upgrade but you would't listen to your friend Matty I know. I totally spaced the $99 upgrade or whatever it was before the Subscription Overlords began their reign. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Edit: in other words, I totally did listen, and totally planned on following Matty's advice...and then totally forgot.

All I'm going to say is this contributed to my jumping to a Radar V/24! As a one time Protools Product Specialist, I find it easier to deal with a Rock stable product using an OS from a Company that no longer exists and SCSI drives over Avid's moving target! I'm still shocked nobody has made a DAW controller like RADARS!

I'm still shocked nobody has made a DAW controller like RADARS! "an OS from a company that no longer exists" is what scares me. OS compatibility and outdated technologies are a computer's worst enemy. My stability has never been a problem in any of my systems after giving up on using AMD for my processors. I always take Avid's moving target with a grain of salt. I know that unless it's listed by them, it can't be confirmed and thus any issue is "my fault", but that means an extra 2k for a mediocre machine. I am lucky though to know a few things about computer hardware. It's saved me a few times.

They had to go rental/update-service contract due to SEC requirements for publically traded companies. The only other thing they could do was all free upgrades until you are forced to buy new hardware a-la-Apple. At least they didn't go all subscription like Adobe. The '90s are over!
