I have never bought anything from mouser or digikey.. all the DIY I have done I have either sourced the parts myself locally (Oz) or bought complete kits (capi, JLM etc)
I have a drip four seven Version 2 PCB and case I just bought.
I have the BOM and want to start ordering parts...
I have searched and can't find a BOM on any of the DIY sites for the mouser cart and info and had no luck.
Can someone school me on the best way to do the mouser/digi key cart to order all this stuff...please?
cheers

Not sure I understood your issue, but it's the same as any other online store: – The easiest, if you have the mouser part numbers on your BOM, put all of them into excel and upload the file to Mouser. Will automatically generate the cart for you. Once you've logged in, it's at this link: www.mouser.com/BOM/BOMFileImport.aspx– If you have specific brands and models but no part numbers, find each product, and add each part one by one. Tedious, but no other way. – If you only have the part values, you'll need to pick and choose between the million different brands and models, and you'll be at it forever... Once you're done, save the project for easy recall.

Yep everything Jake said. Some of us actually consider the searching for parts an integral part of the process. You get to know the parts via datasheet especially when looking for replacements for obsolete items. The mistakes you make you'll probably never make again. For instance you get a 1 watt 1k ohm resistor to save a buck when it called for a 5 watt. Very quickly after applying power you see why it needed 5 watt. Now If the project has a mouser cart (I haven't done a kit in a pretty long while) I'll upload it then cherry pick through it looking for cheaper or better alternatives if there are any. I also have lots of parts so i go through what i have on hand and eliminate them from the cart. The Drip Redd 47 is definitely an awesome project as it is very simply laid out and will provide you with a really high end incredible piece of tube hardware. I wont compare it to those who have done ptp Redd 47s which I can't help but have a respect and affinity for as it takes some skills and understanding to put those together but it definitely will make you think. Its also far easier to get zapped doing ptp. And like all of Drip's stuff I am sure that it can be placed next to your other super high end gear. The completed insides also look really really badass.
