Ha, is that stuff on all the time? When I was working in pro studios, they didn't turn anything off, at least when we were locking out rooms.

Pssh. Everyone knows that plugins are just as good as the real thing, that's why the pros use them!

Interesting that he doesn't have many blank spaces for airflow and that he has fans in the back of racks.

Wow...nice rack. Interesting that they're not grouped though. eg all compressors in one rack, eq's in another.

FWIW... from our end.. and not in those pics, he also has Zener Limiters, TG1, Mini Rack Mixer, and a pair of REDD.47s that replaced his V72s on the mix bus in the next room.

The man must have the finest tuned ear -or the greatest obsession- for compression on the planet. There's around 19 different compressors, which from my understanding he uses for tone as much as compression-sending to multiple ones at a time. It would be interesting to do a blind test with him....

If you go to his site ,under Biography tab there is a Q&A if you scroll way down in the Q&A tab he tells calibration process for the comps and EQ on the different busses Edit : the vac rac tl1 he talks about in the Buss D set up I know he doesn't use anymore , because I bought it from him 😎
