Anyone tried these? Super cheap...found it from the Transify plug which is a multiband transient designer for like $65.

I use his Gain Reduction plugin on every vocal. It's a great tool to rough up vocals.

I use his Gain Reduction plugin on every vocal. It's a great tool to rough up vocals. "Rough up," what do you mean by that? What style of comp is it? Steampunk? I see a lot of testimonials but little in the way of documentation. "Just turn the knobs.." doesn't necessarily do it for me. Does it color things?

It certainly colors things. It distorts, compresses, eqs... I don't know what is behind it, it's a compressor of sorts, but it does more than just compress. Difficult to explain without hearing it. Pity he doesn't do demo versions but there's a video on his website...

I use his transify, JST Clip and I used to have a copy of GR. Great plugins, great person and the stuff he does speaks to why he's at the very top of the heap in his field. All plugins, all amp sims and just huge powerful sounds that kids lose their shit to. His Nail The Mix program is great too.
