that's a good little set up. 300 per pre, similar to the 500 series cost but 1U. that's a good setup to do drums! Or hell, a block of hardware synths. I'm impressed.
where's this WA-87 link?

I just noticed you can buy their x520 op amps for 40 bucks - all discrete and put together.. Talk about pricing up the market. I really do despise building those small little things..

Did anyone read the blurb about the capsules and working with a respected capsule maker out of Australia... Beesneez? Idk if the prices would be this affordable if it were beesneez capsules... oh yeah 3u Audio is in Australia so that's would be my guess on the capsule manufacturing considering the price of the 3U audio mics that KidVybes introduced to the world. Anyone out there have a 3u 87 type mic you can open to compare to the capsule in the warm site?

Or could Rode be doing OEM? It's just with the numbers Bryce likes to hit to keep the price low And with the pre orders I can see him getting with his dealer network I don't know if 3U or Ben could do it.

At $399 for the WA 87 I might grab one and send it to Shannon. And let him do his magic!

That WA-412 though. That's a pretty nice price. Anyone use the current Warm WA-12 preamps? I wonder how this will compare to the current preamp. Interesting they they're using Altran transformers in this instead of Cinemag. Nice additions with the socketed op amps and output attenuator. When these are selling used for $900, that'll be a great deal. Can't wait!

I have heard of Chandler Limited using the Altran company for transformers in some of their high end gear. With Bryce using new components like the transformers and new op amps, this preamp will sound differentthan the Tonebeast/ wa312. I wish Bryce and Warm the best with their new product releases. I voted for their eqp-wa For an SOS award as well

heh. I love that it's Sweetwater doing the video and he's using some horrible little plosive ridden mic. Hey Mitch, the least you could do is run down to the store room and grab a foam pop filter to stick on that thing. Come on, man!

There's some awkward body language moments between Mitch and Bryce that begins the first time Bryce casually just takes the mic off Mitch. I sense from Mitch kind of a... "Whoa boy! Don't grab my mic!" Mitch takes it back and then Bryce takes it from him a second time with kind of Travis Bickle attitude!

I voted for their eqp-wa For an SOS award as well Altran is a great OEM, you would be surprised by how much of the high dollar gear with "custom" or "our own transformers" has Altran iron. A certain GS Mod who claims to be a respected gear pimp likes to shit on Altran , but then if he new where the iron in many of his favorite pieces came from he'd shut his mouth! Bryce may have realized that he's built the Warm brand enough that he can now push a bit further without having to relie on the Cinimage Name! Besides I do believe my favorite Vintage API replacement Iron and 1176 iron is spun by the gang at Altran ! if people new some of the tolarances and specs Altran had to meet for their Aerospace and military clients they would eat their words!

Everything about it looks so close to the 3u Audio capsule. The only differences I see are the red paint on the screws and the separated back plates.

What FETdoes the warm audio mic employ? After looking at the warblers, the warm body looks better, but the logo reeks of ughhh! Im sure they could have found an upstart logo designer that would have fit their budget.
