dandeurloo did I read these are now class H? I'm a sucker for wanting this/these to be awesome. Might have to try one out. emotiva.com/products/amplifiers/xpa-gen3?mc_cid=a895e665e9&mc_eid=f8de83cac6When we set out to make the new X Series line, we analyzed everything in every amplifier we've ever made, from front to back, inside, and out. In doing so, we discovered several areas where our years of experience, and advances in audio technology, indicated that we could make significant improvements in our amplifier designs. After carefully weighing all the pros and cons, we kept the best features of our original designs, added a new set of optimizations and improvements, and the result became the foundation of our new line of audiophile amplifiers. The XPA Gen 3 is a whole new ballgame. Starting at $899.

I am using two pieces of Emotiva gear, the DC-1 Converter/preamp and the XPA-200 power amp.
They both sound amazing but they both have developed reliability issues within less than two years. The DC-1 has a wonky knob for the volume, and the XPA-200 needs to be "warmed up" for 15 minutes before it stops automatically shutting itself down.
I haven't contacted Emotiva support yet, but this is sort of a standout level of defect for me with a specific brand name. Hopefully they can take care of it. It does sound great, and I love the price. Maybe this is a caveat, whatever that word actually means.
