Anyone got these? I have an Origin and I'm torn between getting a second Origin to have a pair or a Spirit for M/S work and a different flavor. Anyone used both?

My first Aston mount has 4 screws. The new ones with this promo seem to have the one though, unless you buy the halo.

I kinda wish mine had 1 screw. It's a bit of a pain making sure a mic is centered. My cv4 is usually never perfectly lined up...

I had the Origin here...and was really impressed. Less bottom than my modded CV4, but the top was fantastic...we're talking about a $250 mic...

I agree, though I wonder if multiple screws resulting in less surface area touching the mic is important. I don't necessarily see how it makes much of a difference with low frequencies.. The rubber floating parabolas are doing all the work, right?

Yeah. It's just less parts from a manufacturers point of view

Yeah. It's just less parts from a manufacturers point of view My Aston mic BARELY fits into the standard Rycote with 4 poles that it shipped with. I assume it's just an easier fit with the single screw pole.
