Thanks guys. We had hopes for a recovery after Sandy suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, but it was not to be. He was not improving and suffered from recurring infections.
Sandy Pearlman is why I'm a professional musician and composer. There'd have been no BOC without him, and I owe him gratitude for my life in the music business. He really helped shape the direction of the album rock era of recording.

And your sentiments articulate the very soul of rock&roll, and the noble camaraderie that comes from working with other like minded people to create music that soothes the human psyche and leaves a roadmarker of our experience and time here on this earth. Thanks man. Glad to see it all ties back in the end.

Many talk the talk but you walk the walk!

Hey Don, was thinking of you when I heard the news.
I had worked with Sandy quite a few times, originally at his place in Long Island, and then the crazy place he set up in San Fransisco. Quite a character, but a real good guy.
I always learned something, Every time I was in his presence! RIP.

I didn't want to single Don out because I know there are others on here who have worked with Sandy. But I didn't really realize how tight the bond between BOC and Sandy was until I read Don's post. And, he did a lot more than BOC too. The Dictators. The second Clash record, which has been given a bit of a hard ride. It's a frikkin great record!. And many others.
So, my condolences to all of Sandy's family and friends.
And and thank you Don for your kind words.
Gonna go give Tyranny and Mutation a spin. Been too long.
Geoff

So very sorry, donr. 2016 has turned into the year of death for my idols and my family. 2 more of my family members on their way out with terminal illnesses now, so, I can relate in a big way.

I do not know donr in person but I had a lost last year too. Sorry to hear that. I think it always feels unreal, but the older I get the more I think - life must go on - because it's the only thing that makes sense to deal with a loss.
