Looking forward to watching this tonight. Always in awe of Hendrix's groove and singing as well as how this band played/sounded together. Thanks for posting.

Great, thanks for posting. Guess I'll give myself an early X-mas present. I'm also reading the 'Starting at zero' book right now, interesting read. Love Jimi.

Finished watching it last night. Great documentary, thanks for posting this. I've relapsed into a full blown Hendrixitis. Only want to listen to Jimi and company all day long.
Hey, did I count SIX 2x15 for the bass rig at the Miami pop festival(around 1:14:00)? Hee, hee...

Yeah , I like Jimi alot more now after watching it .
I didn't know he was so devoted to his music . I thought he was just always on drugs and liked to play guitar .
After seeing his devotion to making great music , that always makes me like an artist more . To him all that matter was the music , nothing else . He didn't care about money , fame , partying ........just the music and thats the way it should be , all your focus on making the best music you can possibly make . All that other stuff just gets in the way and the music suffers .

Hey, did I count SIX 2x15 for the bass rig at the Miami pop festival(around 1:14:00)? Hee, hee... It's at around 1:08:04, along with two seriously abused Marshall stacks and two more 2x15s on Jimi's side. I bet the sound rolled off the stage onto that crowd, sonic in a way that doesn't happen any more. I would loved to have been there.

I saw the 2x15 on Jimi's side as well. I'm a fan of loud shows. I think the London one where they come out and play the f**k out of sgt peppers to start off the show the week it came out looks pretty loud in that SONIC way : )

I see where you're coming from but, when you think about it, you don't get to play like that by just doing a lot of drugs : D I enjoy the fact that his constant playing seemed to have more to do with passion than with discipline.

i get the biggest kick out all the white people watching jimi banging his white strat lol, they just stare in disbelief. Don't question the set of balls(no pun intended 8) he must have had to bring IT the way he did, it was the late 60's, he was a total badass, and he SURELY knew it. Just awesome!

Funny, I watched part of that video 2 days ago, today I can't access it anymore because it 'is not available in your region due to right restrictions.' So those restrictions weren't in place 2 days ago? What happened?

Well, I bought the DVD, I guess that's what they wanted in the first place. But it's a nice program, worth seeing.
