(ok, it's a spoof, but ... you would not be surprised if it would be real, would you? "I press play"?)

This really conjured up some thinking in me...
What if the click track becomes the beat? HAHAHAHAHAHA... ludicrous, right?
Well, then I thought back to the 90s where with many singers I would have to put in a solo synth track of the melody or harmony part they had to sing so they could stay on key and 'hone in' on the pitch, to be as on-key as possible. And now, of course, most vocals sound like they're synth generated.

Couldn't get the cowbell working initially - had to improvise.... Was singing this song out loud tonight getting ready to perform in Omaha w/Boston and Foghat. We cannot fathom all the strings and alignments in the universe.

I'm glad I grew up in the 70s when there were just tons of kick ass singers. Most vocals had soul, grit, and power. It was awesome. I remember singing "Jeremiah Had A Bullfrog" as a kid to practice my rock voice. I don't hear much of this sort of male lead vocal at all today. Too bad. Guys back then seemed to get it just right.

Excellent cowbell from some kickass players. Terry Kath is the man.

This is great, I LOLd, but Hawtin's actually a very talented producer, far more than just some cheesy press play DJ. They should have used David Guetta or Steve Aoki or someone equally as talentless.
