There's a 50% chance someone is going to piss you off. It's a pro audio forum.

It's lose/lose.
We're vehemently polarized today and we pick our media outlets in order to confirm what we already think. We all think we're above it but we're not. It's echo chamber city. Things that are easily shown to be utter bullshit are shouted from the mountain top on the left and the right and treated as gospel truth. Confirmation bias rules the day.
I'm fully in support of keeping it out of here as much as is reasonable.
A nice, punchy kick drum track doesn't give a shit what you think about the role of gov't.

Funnily enough over here in Australia today (Saturday) were are voting in our federal election. It's almost as nuts (not quite) as your 'dog and pony' show in the US!

Voting a political party into power is like going to see your favourite band and discovering they can't actually play a note (The Wrecking Crew were in all the campaign ads) and the ticket price was only a down payment on a never ending subscription charged out at 35% interest and includes a lien on your house.

Gary Johnson says the Brexit success would not have been possible without Johnkenn's support.

There's a 50% chance someone is going to piss you off. It's a pro audio forum. Amen to that. I'm old enough to remember a level of political civility that simply doesn't exist any longer--even when disagreement was strong. The benefit of a forum like this is that we can learn to respect one another without knowing much of our political proclivities. Establishing those connections is really important and is our only hope for making a country (or a world) that we all want to live in.

'Tis tough times for politics. Figured it might as well let it inspire me.. https%3A//soundcloud.com/m57/dont-give-up-the-moonJust a ukulele and a Ukelele-bass. Totally derailed my other projects, but I can't help myself. ADD ADHD OCD - basically anything ending in D and my wife swears I've got it. Edit: That's my wife singing BVs with me at the end.

If this were a political board, I would say that I wish there was someone besides Trump, because there's no effing way I will vote for Hillary Clinton.
But I won't say that because this isn't a political forum.

But I won't say that because this isn't a political forum. I've been voting for "the lesser of two evils" for a long time. I live in San Francisco (at least for the next two weeks or so...) Yeah, keep the politics out - the whole thing's a losing proposition these days.
