Where is it on sale Anton? Only from Brainworks it seems! I tried the demo a long time ago and remember liking it. I just don't think I need it...

I agree with henge nice but I don't need it kinda getting tied of going down this rabbit hole there are a lot of these plugins out and some are very nice , but just don't seem to get you there seems all of us keep looking for that magic plugin after plugin after plugin after plugin

I enjoyed the demo when it came out but, yeah, I've spent so much money on plugins going from honeymoon period to honeymoon period. About 90% of it I wish I had back.
If you want an ITB channel strip though, I thought this one was plenty nice.

FYI, even though many PA plugs are on sale, you also get additional "bundle discounts" when you add them to your cart. And, the more you buy the bigger the discount. I went to buy two plugs last night and the extra discount was so good I added a third plug for the same price I was expecting to pay for the two. Good stuff!

WOW. Just popped one channel on a Drumbus so far and I kind've love the comp - that's all I've tried. Building some tracks and I'm gonna use this thing. So far, I freaking love the compressor. Immediate tone.

I still haven't had time to finish my mix using these...I hope the sale isn't over by the time I get around to it!

They just extended the sale through July 4th, took the plunge on bx_console, sounds great so far!

The bx console is fascinating and with the modeling technology implemented I can't wait to see what else they can do with this feature! Mixing with mike gotta love his vids and channel!
Also speaking of sales UAD 60% sale is still on, I couldn't afford the plugin alliance plugs I wanted so I got the Emt 140 for $24, then they sent me another $25 coupon right after the purchase. I wish I would have known, I would have spent more if I had been able to apply all $75 of coupons.
I love the bx meter which is on sale right now on PA and I really want to purchase the BX XL 2 limiter, that limiter is awesome once you learn it!

Any new thoughts on this one? I've got the 88rs, but it's a hoss, even with two quads.

I'm still working on building some tracks...been trying stuff, deleting trying again...so I still haven't gotten to mixing stage. I used the BX_console on acoustics and I really liked what it did. Feel like I was getting a "different" sound than if I had used Pro-Q...if it works, it might be one of those things that changes my workflow. I demo'd the Neve a long time ago...so I can't really compare. I'm hoping that once I have the bx across the whole mix, it's going to be a better version of Slate VCC. We will see.

I did stop to expect to get a 1:1 hardware copy as a plug in. You get something different from them, and therefore they should stop to claim they can simulate gear. I have many plug ins which are useful, or near to the hardware, - but they are not the same. Mixing with this in mind makes it easier.

What I'm really hoping for is the phase interaction between all the channels - since the modeled 72 channels. Hoping it adds width and punch. I'm gonna see if my workflow changes a little. I might start the mix with them on every channel, then make rudimentary decisions on EQ and compression...then start using more detailed EQ's and comps.

They just modeled a range of tolerances on EQs and comps I think. No phase/crosstalk/nonlinear stuff. Just that the attack or the filter cutoff or whatever vary a tiny bit from channel to channel.

For my taste I have enough of those plug ins claiming to simulate something specific. I was very skeptical because I was so often disappointed by plug ins. Yesterday before quitting work I did see the video with Greg Wurth talking about the plug in. A die hard analog mixing geek is praising this plug in.... I had to demo this today. I have to eat my own words.
Thats impressive and will put tons of pressure on Waves and all the others who claim to do a proper simulation. I never worked with that special Neve console but after a painful way switching between pure ITB and Hybrid I think I have a sound in mind which I want to hear when mixing ITB, and most often its hard to get. I just did nothing else as putting the bx console on a rough mix. Special the base range is more glued together, the transients are shaved off in a nice way. Overall, the plug in bends the mix up. Reverbs sit tighter. Percussion in the background is more 3 D I first thought it would be level differences, jupp it was in the MHF range, but it still was different with the plug in. In AB ing two bounces I found that the most ear catching difference was the glued base range and that the LV was more like ribbon form left to the right speaker. Way more close to the sound which I have in mind from mixing into the console. It deoends on the music as well but my guesswork is that plug in can make a difference on full blown rock mix. I like it very much. Thats an impressive plug in. But one thing stays, the workflow - pure ITB feels unnatural to me. It would be more easy if there would be shortcuts for the strip plug ins like: SHOW me all guitars. Show all Vocals etc.... We need more plug-ins of this quality. https%3A//soundcloud.com/andreasoberholz/bx_console_onhttps%3A//soundcloud.com/andreasoberholz/bx_console_offPS: You need to level match it a little bit.
