Occasionally, I like to see where Rock is.
This Reggae song, with a C section out of Adele, is currently #1.
Lots of navel gazing lyrically.....

#1 rock song doesn't have a single guitar (excluding bass). People may have hated on the heyday of pop punk, but at least it actually rocked.

Yeah, been hearing this one all over the radio. I don't hate the song, but for this to be the top of the rock chart is disgraceful.
I've been hearing this song a lot recently. Pretty nice modern pop take on The Black Crowes style.

It's #1 because they play it every 4th song (right between Foo Fighters songs, ugh) on two different stations here in the ATL. I HATE the song, but I keep finding it popping up in my head, simply because they play it so much.

The Struts tune has the same chord progression and feel as "She's got the Look" - Nope - scratch that- Just checked the Roxette tune out - It's better. It's just horribly mundane and uninspired. Not listening to the radio enough has its benefits.

Pretty nice modern pop take on The Black Crowes style. The Struts = zero originality. If you are going to be a pile of cliches, at least be a little twisted about it. Think Alice Bowie. Wait, that's been done . . .

Pretty nice modern pop take on The Black Crowes style. The singer has a bit of Noddy Holder and Freddie Mercury. Now, if only Rock brought back some of the bombast that's necessary it would be in a better place imo.

The Struts song is a very common I, b7 / IV progression. It's on a thousand songs. Typically it's a beginners progression because they think they've discovered some great new thing. More than a Feeling, Springsteen's "Human Touch", Sweet Child of Mine are some examples.
The Cheech and Chong song was better than both of them.
