Hey gang,
Just a curiosity of a question for you all.
What's the maximum number of inputs and outputs you have used on your DAW for recording a full band? In my case, I have 48 ins and 34 outs with my Pro Tools 10HD3 set-up. (2 Avid HD i/o's and one old 96i/o as the overflow). the maximum number of inputs I have recently used (that I can think of) is 16 for drums, 2 on bass, 4 on guitars, 2 for keyboard, and 3 vocals plus a talkback channel for a total of 28. That's for a live off the floor recording. Then overdubbing and replacing parts later. As vor outputs, that would be 8. Stereo mains and 3 headphone sends.
Cheers!

24I/O. Sometimes I'll bus together some stuff in the daw to make sure I have 24 outputs but I have never needed more than 24 ins at one time.

16 in/8 out, but I use a desk so I just use my 4 sends for (0 latency) headphone mixes + my main outs. If I needed my other 6 outs for Stereo mixes I suppose that'd bring me to 7, but I've never needed to.

I might have used 12 once on an off the floor session. 7 on drums, 2 on two guitar rigs, a bass di and a vocal mic.
So 11.
