The contest doesn't include analog I/O.. Which is another 6K-8K for 24ch..

Yeah, I noticed that. I was actually wondering if that would statistically be a loss for them at all....maybe that's a new business model. "Free RADAR"....just pay for IO (and likely support).

so they sell you a 3000 dollar quad core i7 computer? and then you buy pcie converter cards for it? If I win, check for it over in the classifieds. I'll be looking for lynx aurora or symphony ad/da trades

Yeah, I doubt it's too much of a loss, 500-1K at most, but it's a loss-leader, getting folks in-the-door as it were.

Yeah, but I mean, since you really have to buy IO for it....if they have $750 manufacture in that box....and whatever in their conversion boards manufacture....the winners are not going to let the thing sit unused. They'll buy some IO for it....so at the end of THAT, have they lost any money? You know?
