Does anyone have any experience with these mics, and in particular the Regensburg Dom? I'm a little intrigued about them though I don't see them mentioned much on the internet. The sound files that I heard on the site seemed to be already mixed as I heard way too much compression to tell what the mic really sounds like. They look well built but that means nothing really. I'm not a fan of the cheesy LEDs in the head basket, But I could always disconnect it. From doing a little googling about Charles Dickinson, he sounds like a real smart guy. The list of major technology companies he's worked for is pretty impressive. But, more on topic, does anyone have any first hand knowledge of these mics? I saw on GS that someone said it compared favorably to the Wunder CM7. That would be impressive if it were true.

I think Lana Del Rey uses one, if that helps at all.

I own a Notre Dame, and have not used the Regensburg. I love the ND, it is lush and sounds "finished" to me, especially when sent through the STA. I cannot say how it compares to other U47-type mics since I've never had the pleasure of using any others. And that's a shame.

Thanks for the replies. I have to say I'm a bit intrigued. Charles must not make that many. There are so few reviews of them.
